Tim Walsh
Tough Mudder

For the past three years, event organizer Tim Walsh and his 25-member team, Just Us Jerks, compete in a local Tough Mudder, which is a challenging 10-mile course with more than 20 obstacles.  Their annual motto is: to drag pancreatic cancer through the mud and bury it, and for the last three years, they’ve been going just that. To date, Team Just Us Jerks has raised more than $60,000. Tim’s secret to success? He is an accomplished triathlete and encourages his triathlete friends to join him in raising money for a cause he is passionate about.

Nicole Millard
Luau for Lustgarten

Luau for Lustgarten was started by the Millard/Marrese families as a way to honor family members who have been affected by pancreatic cancer.  In 2010, the family decided to create a luau dinner complete with delicious food, lively music, and fantastic prizes, to raise money for the Lustgarten Foundation. Since inception, the event has totaled more than $116,000 and has become an annual event they all look forward to.  Nicole didn’t want to host an ordinary party which is why she chose a luau instead.

Micki Lis
Terry Hagen Memorial Golf Outing

The Annual Terry Hagan Memorial Golf Outing honors the life and legacy of Terry Hagan and brings together friends and family to raise money for the Lustgarten Foundation and pancreatic cancer research. Terry’s sons, Travis and Chris, organize this event every year in honor of their father, who was an avid golfer, and are dedicated to finding a cure for this disease. The golf outing has been going strong for nearly 20 years and has raised more than $100,000.
